Spire Games has announced that its psychological sci-fi mystery visual novel Advent: Dawn will launch for PC via Steam on July 20, 2026.
The narrative-focused adventure follows Dr. Atlas Everly, a neuroscientist whose expedition beneath a remote island takes a turn when a cave collapse leaves him trapped underground alongside six strangers. Cut off from the surface and searching for a way out, the group begins to fracture as suspicion and paranoia spread through the cavern.
While visual novels often focus on character relationships or detective work, Advent: Dawn combines its branching narrative with environmental puzzle-solving and a mystery centered on a sprawling cave network filled with strange crystalline formations. As players progress, they’ll uncover clues about the people trapped underground and the circumstances that brought them there.
The story features multiple character routes and endings. According to Spire Games, each route reveals additional pieces of the larger mystery, eventually leading to a final ending that explains the events beneath the island. Players can also use an interactive flowchart system to revisit major decisions and explore alternate story paths without restarting the entire game.
The game’s central mystery revolves around trust, survival, and perception as the trapped group attempts to make sense of their situation. As tensions rise among the survivors, players will make choices that influence relationships, uncover hidden motivations, and determine how the story unfolds.
Spire Games also released a new trailer alongside the release date announcement, offering a closer look at the game’s cave environments, visual novel presentation, and cast of characters.
