Adorably Grim Adventure ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC Later This Year

Devolver Digital announced that the Massive Monster-developed action-adventure Cult of the Lamb will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in 2022.

The game was previously announced, but the platform announcement is of note, mainly because it’s not coming to PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Cult of the Lamb has players assume the role of a possessed lamb who has been saved from annihilation by a stranger. Players will need to start their cult in these lands of false prophets, and the goal is to work hard to be the one true cult.

During gameplay, players will build new structures by gathering materials and performing rituals to appease gods. Further, players will need to conduct sermons to gather the most followers. However, there are some non-believers and they will need to be dealt with through action combat. Players can also train their flock and send them out on missions. The gameloop is Cleanse the non-believers, spread enlightenment, and perform mystical rituals on the journey to become the mighty lamb god.

The developers do add that the game features cartoon violence.

Although no gameplay is shown, the newest trailer introduces the characters and the next-gen platform line of ways to play this upcoming game:
