Action RPG ‘Unsouled’ Shows How Players Can Take on Difficult Enemies in New Trailer
PQube released new gameplay from the Jinsub Jung-developed action RPG Unsouled, in development for PC and coming in Spring 2020.
The video gives players a look at new gameplay and shows how players can survive against the brutally difficult enemies. One skill is shown in the “Death Touch,” which deals large amounts of damage, even to bosses. Also, players can use the souls they’ve absorbed to strengthen their powers.
Unsouled follows a man and woman who have the ability to absorb the souls of the dead. Their power gives them the choice to subjugate the weak or protect them. They could essentially destroy or create. However, their choice wasn’t the same.
Players will need to fight their way through some pretty intimidating foes. Timing is everything in the game and players need to parry to unleash counter-attacks as well as learn ways of executing combos. The environment will find players exploring ruins, mausoleums, and caves. The world is lifeless save for the enemies and everything seems to have a dark and melancholic tone to it. During moments of the game, the camera zooms out to display a panoramic view.
