Developer Foreign Gnomes has announced that the sequel to the unconventional action RPG Everhood, Everhood 2, will launch for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in early 2025.
A lost Soul awakens in overwhelming uncertainty and is recruited by a Raven who promises to return their voice at the cost of defeating the Mind Dragon. Players can anticipate a vast array of unique characters and environments carrying on from the first entry’s spirit.
Combat follows a rhythmic action format, with players able to utilize upgradeable weapons such as Moon Blades to a soundtrack of ” Electronic Psychedelic Power Rock tunes.” Elemental absorption and enemy weaknesses are some of the mechanics one will have to be conscious of as they progress. Precise movement and timing are also required to best the later challenges.
Chris Nordgren, the co-founder of Foreign Gnomes, stated the following regarding this announcement:
“Releasing Everhood in 2021 changed our lives, and we’re preparing to share a bigger and stranger world with everyone. We’re aiming to make a super-polished experience for newcomers, but for fans of the original…we’ve got plenty of mysteries for you to uncover.”
The title will also boast English, French, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and Japanese language support.
