Action RPG ANNO: Mutationem Announces “Mysterious Game Console” Update Adding Roguelike Scenario & More

Publisher Lightning Games and developer Thinking Stars have announced that their action RPG, ANNO: Mutationem, will launch a new update soon titled “Mysterious Game Console” on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

Players can anticipate a titular super lite roguelike minigame world with three floors where they must save a trapped girl by the name of Noni as they defeat numerous enemies. A new costume with exclusive weapons and a story of Ayane’s childhood will also be implemented.

ANNO: Mutationem is developed by a small group of indie developers from China who set out to create a cyberpunk action game using pixel art-style graphics. ANNO: Mutationem aims to bring players a sense of exploration and wonder as they play through the story.

The game features side-scrolling and third-person gameplay portions and a responsive battle system. Furthermore, players will need to interact with other characters in the bustling cyberpunk city to solve puzzles and figure out ways to progress the story.

The title was also updated last year to add a new ending, New Game+ functionality, and optimized combat.

In New Game+, players can inherit weapons, chips, money, skill points, and talents from a previous game and raise the difficulty to the level of “Hell,” and an “Easy Mode” is also available.

After the final boss, players can speak to G to find a new choice. The original ending is still in the game, but it has been extended with additional animations.
