Action RPG ‘Crystar’ Coming West; New Cinematic Trailer

Spike Chunsoft announced that the FuRyu developed RPG Crystar will be coming west for PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam on August 27.

Crystar is an action RPG that has players assume the role of Rei Hatada, who is trying to revive her dead younger sister Mirai Hatada. Evidently, she makes a deal with the devil and must now fight the souls of those who have drifted into limbo. The game revolves around the power of crying which lends assistance to the characters and allows them to purify weapons and gain certain stat boosts. Enemies in the game will appear who must be defeated by crying and using the character’s lack of mental stability as a weapon.

Spike Chunsoft will release the game with English text and audio as well as with a day 1 edition for PS4 which will include a mini artbook. Additionally, the standard edition of the game will come with the Summer Collection Costume DLC, which will most likely include bathing suits.

The publisher released a new trailer giving players a preview of the characters and setting of this dark RPG with more details to be released soon.
