Bandai Namco launched a new trailer for their flight combat simulator Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on February 1.
The trailer gives players a preview of the game’s action combat including some of the missions that players will encounter throughout the game’s story. Ace Combat 7 will tell a full story surrounding the reasons why these characters are at war the game will also have boss encounters with rivals.
Additionally, the publisher revealed a special physical edition for PS4 and Xbox One called Ace Combat 7: Aces at War Bundle, which includes a Steelbook and a 150-page art book titled Aces at War: A History 2019. This art book contains illustrations, interviews, and four short stories written by Japanese writer-director Sunao Katabuchi.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is set in 2019 after a conflict broke loose between the Osean Federation and the Kingdom of Erusea which resulted in the Second Usean Continental War. Players will assume the role a fighter jet pilot, code-named “trigger”, as he is accused of a crime he didn’t commit.

Author’s take: I’m nervous about how long this game has been in development, but I’m glad to see it reaching the production level that the team is looking for.
