Outlet Nintenderos recently interviewed the producer of the Ace Attorney franchise, Kenichi Hashimoto, about the upcoming Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy. However, some other tangential topics were discussed.
One such topic had Hashimoto reveal that an Ace Attorney crossover with Detective Pikachu would be an exciting, ideal fit. Of course, no such plans are in place, but it’s a neat idea to ponder.
Ace Attorney has had crossovers with various IPs, such as Professor Layton in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the 3DS and the goliath Bandai Namco, Capcom, and Sega crossover title Project X Zone 2.
Granted, the scale of a Pokémon crossover is another matter altogether, but perhaps it could happen one day. It would at least raise the popularity of the Ace Attorney franchise, which would be excellent for expanded reach and future projects.
You can view Hashimoto’s comment on the matter below:
“While we have no plans to do so, I personally think a crossover with Pokémon would be fun – Detective Pikachu would be a perfect fit!”
Thanks to GoNintendo for the translation.

Hashimoto also recently stated that Capcom is aware of the fan demand for an Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth Collection.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will launch for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Windows and Steam on January 25, 2024.
