Capcom has updated the Ace Attorney 20-year anniversary website that launched back in October of this year. This website update includes brand new artwork, a sale announcement for The Great Ace Attorney 1 & 2, numerous Japanese-exclusive merchandise, and other minor news. However, most notably updated is the History page which details the series roots to its current status in a rather extensive fashion. Initial game releases, ports, stage plays, and more are covered chronologically.
The latest Ace Attorney release, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, is an excellent entry point worthy of being an anniversary title, even if that wasn’t its intended purpose.
If you missed it, be sure to check out our review of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, as it is one of the few 10s we have ever delivered.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles has players assume the role of Ryunosuke Naruhodo, an aspiring Japanese attorney. This character is meant to be an ancestor of Phoenix Wright and will need to solve 10 cases in the late 19th century during Japan’s Meiji Period and England’s Victorian Era. However, he does have the help of his Judicial Assistant Susato Mikatoba, and legendary detective Herlock Sholmes.
The title is available on PlayStation 4, PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.
