Koei Tecmo released a new trailer for the Gust developed adventure JRPG Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 29.
The trailer highlights the game’s battle system which has some additional features that fans of the series might like to know about. Sticking true to the traditional turn-based RPG structure, Atelier Ryza‘s battle system will flow a little quicker as players will be able to give Action Orders to party members. These orders will allow the player to perform specific actions and if an order is followed with a particular combo the characters will be able to follow-up with a powerful skill, known as Fatal Drive, that doesn’t consume any AP.
There is also a difficulty adjustment that players can use to get through the game’s battles a little easier.
Atelier Ryza tells the story of a new character in the Atelier series, Ryzalin, a typical everyday girl who has become bored with her mundane lifestyle. After meeting someone special, she discovers alchemy and her whole life changes. She then sets out on an adventure that she never thought she’d go on.
Atelier Ryza is aiming to be graphically better than any of the Atelier titles in the past. While there won’t be any romance in the game, players will be able to experience a bittersweet story that resembles summer memories.
In case you missed it, the publisher also released a new trailer showing some event and battle scenes.
