A Plague Tale: Innocence is Becoming a TV Show

French news outlet Allocine has reported that A Plague Tale: Innocence is the next game franchise to be turned into a television show, this time by production company Merlin Productions.

Director Mathieu Turi tweeted about the news, saying: “I’m honored to work on the adaptation as a TV series of A Plague Tale. Thank you to Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment for their trust. I can’t wait to bring Amicia and Hugo’s journey to the screen.” Turi previously directed Hostile and served as additional assistant director on Inglorious Basterds, so it should be interesting to see what he brings to A Plague Tale: Innocence.

We reviewed A Plague Tale: Innocence upon its release, which you can watch below or read on the site. In the written review, we said “What A Plague Tale: Innocence accomplishes is more than just a great narrative-driven adventure. The game shows the brilliant level of game design that an indie team is capable of. Following Amicia and Hugo’s quest through this world was brilliant to witness. Character development flows so naturally in this game as the brother and sister get to know each other and grow on their adventure and their relationship is just one of many reasons to see this quest through until the end.”
