Dramatic Visual Novel ‘A Light in the Dark’ Gets April Release Date on PS4 and Switch
Sekai Project has announced the release date for A Light in the Dark. The visual novel developed by CreSpirit, Storia, and Narrator will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 5, 2023. This new edition will include Japanese voice acting but players who already have the PC version can rest assured the company has previously mentioned this content will be added in an upcoming free update.
A Light in the Dark is a dramatic visual novel about two young people in completely opposite positions in life. On one side, we have Hao-Chen Jiang, a rich boy whose monotone life suddenly changes when he’s kidnapped. On the other, we have the mysterious girl struggling for survival even through such a criminal action as kidnapping someone and asking for a ransom.
As the two interact more, their prejudices against each other start to crumble and they get to see a little more of each other’s world. The game alternates portions of visual novel story development with interactive moments for Hao-Chen to examine his surroundings to find a escape plan. The game features multiple endings depending on player choice.
The store pages for A Light in the Dark on Nintendo eShop and PSN should open soon according to the publisher. In the meantime, check out the teaser trailer for the console edition of A Light in the Dark, which gives us an early glimpse at the acting of characters Yurika Kubo and Kana Ichinose:
