Chump Squad announced their very first game title Kine, coming to PC-via the Epic Game store later this year.
Kine is a 3D puzzle game that stars three musical machines, Euler, Quat, and Roo, that aspire to be musicians. Evidentally, in order to do this, they must embark across theatrically rendered cityscapes and solve increasingly difficult 3D puzzles. Each of the characters long to form a band and find their big break, which makes the premise sound easy, but from the looks of the debut trailer, there are many obstacles ready to get in the way.
“I’m very excited to work with Epic!” said Gwen Frey, founder of Chump Squad. “Offering streamers a revenue share if they help sell a game will encourage people to stream a wider variety of games. I think this will be a huge benefit for indies! I’m very excited for Kine to play a part in that initiative.”
Additionally, the developer released a new trailer giving players a preview of the courses and levels shown in the game. Interestingly, each character seems like they can alternate and approach the puzzle differently, but the music in the game is rather catchy.
