3D Shooter HD Remaster ‘Rainbow Cotton’ Announced for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch & PC; Spring 2024
ININ and Success have announced an HD remaster of the classic 3D shooter Rainbow Cotton, launching digitally for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in Spring 2024.
This 2000 Sega Dreamcast title is the fifth entry in the Rainbow Cotton franchise, following up on Panorama Cotton. This is also the first true 3D shooter entry, focusing on the titular witch Cotton and her fairy friend Silk. For the sake of tasty Willow, players will control Cotton as she battles against Tweed and his followers, “who have stolen the Legendary Willow from the enchanting land of York Country.”
Featuring gameplay reminiscent of Panorama Cotton, this arcade-like adventure will have players progress through stages, each boasting their own boss fights. Further, you’ll gain various powerups, build up projectiles, and utilize powerful attacks comprised of fire and lightning to clear the screen.
