3D Platformer ‘Penny’s Big Breakaway’ Announced for Early 2024; By Sonic Mania Team
Following the latest Nintendo Direct, Evening Star announced their 3D platformer Penny’s Big Breakaway, set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in early 2024. Crafted by the team behind Sonic Mania, the game takes place in the world of Macaroon, featuring protagonist Penny and her new friend, Yo-Yo.
In Story Mode, players will contend with the efforts of Emperor Eddie and his minions. During gameplay, Yo-Yo can be powered up to protect Penny. Further, the Time Attack Mode encourages speed running skills, which will unlock special items and secret stages.
