2D Metroidvania ‘Aeterna Noctis’ Gets Gorgeous New Gameplay Trailer; December Release For PC and Consoles

Publisher and developer Aeternum Game Studios have uploaded a brand new gameplay teaser for their upcoming 2D Metroidvania, Aeterna Noctis. This title boasts an absolutely stunning presentation, and this new trailer briefly showcases compelling gameplay ideas.

Throughout this title, players will experience a scaling difficulty system that heightens in challenge as the player grows and earns new skills. Additionally, while there is a linear narrative, exploration is the complete opposite, with there being 16 interconnected zones. Speed and mobility are central to the overall experience as they encourage precision with platforming and general movement.

The soundtrack includes 46 songs, with a special original soundtrack releasing once the game is out, including arrangments as a piano collection. In addition, the art style was meticulously crafted using traditional artistic methods to produce a vibrant, immersive world. The effort for the artwork certainly shows and is undeniably an engaging series of spectacles.
