2D Action Platformer ‘Mighty Gunvolt Burst’ Gets Steam Release Date

During Anime Expo 2019, Japanese developer Inti Creates hosted a panel on developing action games with lots of characters.

Hosted by Producer and Localization Editor Matt Papa and President and CEO Takuya Aizu, the developer announced that their 2D action platformer Mighty Gunvolt Burst will release on PC-via Steam on July 31.

Originally released in 2017, Mighty Gunvolt Burst is an 8-bit style platformer that mimics the Mega Man series. Players will shoot their way through enemies, but the game has unique features like the ability to customize the players loadouts and weapons. This requires the player to find a balance of firepower and speed, but it also allows players to fit the game to their playstyle.

During Mighty Gunvolt Burst, players can play as characters from the Gunvolt and Mighty No. 9, Gunvolt and Beck, respectively. The two fight against hordes of enemies and use a variety of elemental attacks such as Fire, Crystal, Spark, and more. Each attack has a different effect in battle and can be customized and saved as additional loadouts for players to access at any time. The game also features 8 bosses and various extra bonus characters.

Mighty Gunvolt Burst is available now on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.
