2D Action Platformer, ‘Fallen Knight’, Coming to Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC
Developer FairPlay Studios and publisher PQube have announced that their upcoming 2D action platformer, Fallen Knight, will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
A free demo of the title will be available for PC players via Steam on February 3, as part of the Steam Games Festival. This ambitious title features sword fighting as well as more intricate mechanics such as parrying and moral alignment.
Players take control of Lancelot the 49th, a descendant of the great Lancelot in King Arthur’s tale. Lancelot will battle against six enemy heroes with unique characterizations, and save his city from an evil organization known as The Purge. The said organization intends to reveal the ‘truth’ of what resides below the city. Lancelot will not only uncover the secrets about this truth, but he will also overcome the challenges of what it means to be a knight.
Players can parry and disarm The Purge instead of killing them. Doing so will grant points to upgrade your abilities as well as an alternative ending. These points can also be used to upgrade Lancelot’s health and attacks. The ‘Wrath of God’ meter is also a crucial mechanic that allows players to heal more if upgraded. It is a vital component of survival outside Casual Difficulty.
