13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Sells Over 1 Million Units Worldwide
Developer Vanillaware has announced that their RTS visual novel 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has sold over one million units worldwide. Celebratory art was shared, accompanying this announcement.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has players assume the role of 13 different characters, who each play a part in the overarching narrative. Throughout the game, players are able to explore 2D environments and interact with other characters to trigger events. This will inevitably lead to encounters where players can jump into mecha suits and strategically fight against enemy Kaijuu using the game’s real-time battle system.
The narrative is a significant focus for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Players will need to be engaged in the conversations as choices have weight to them, and accessing keywords to acquire additional information is necessary. Further, one will be able to jump between characters during the adventure segments as they gather information. However, if things go too wrong, the day will rewind to make the correct choices.
